PS SCARBOROUGH

Registration for this program is now closed.

PS Scarborough is a free intergenerational photography program that celebrates identity, community, and culture.

The program invites youth (16–29 years old) and seniors (55+ years old) to explore this year’s theme of “Where We’re From.” Through photography, participants will uncover, explore, and celebrate the lens through which they view their spaces of belonging.

From November 2023 to February 2024, youth and seniors participate in weekly collective activities such as photography workshops, creative critiques, mentoring, and community excursions. PS Scarborough aims to provide a safe space where youth and seniors can combat social isolation through storytelling, learning new skills from and with each other, celebrating diverse perspectives and cultural connectedness, and creating new spaces of belonging.

The program will culminate with a gallery exhibition and a public opening reception at Next Generation Arts in February 2024.
